• Sommario/riassunto: In the early modern period, title pages differed significantly in size, layout, informational content, and linguistic presentation from a typical title page today. This study focuses on the syntax of title pages during the 16th and 17th century. Based on a corpus of over 600 examples, it examines the syntactic structures and linguistic principles underlying early modern title pages.; Titelblätter der frühen Neuzeit unterscheiden sich hinsichtlich Umfang, Layout, Informationsgehalt und sprachlicher Gestaltung deutlich von den heute üblichen Formen. Im Zentrum dieser Untersuchung steht die Syntax von Titelblättern des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts. Auf der Grundlage eines nach Jahr, Region und Textkategorie gegliederten Korpus von über 600 Titelblättern werden die auftretenden syntaktischen Einheiten vollständig erfasst und mit Blick auf häufig wiederkehrende inhaltliche bzw. funktionale Abschnitte der Titelblätter beschrieben. Darüber hinaus werden übergeordnete Formulierungsprinzipien herausgearbeitet, die eng mit den spezifischen Bedingungen der Titelblattgestaltung zusammenhängen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Titelblattsyntax die Möglichkeiten der frühneuhochdeutschen Syntax anders ausnutzt, ohne dass dadurch ungrammatische Strukturen entstehen. Damit leistet die Untersuchung einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Erforschung der historischen Syntax.
