Blood Flow (1:00)

Sommario/riassunto

As your heart pumps, arteries carry blood away from the heart and toward the body tissues and vital organs. These tissues and organs include your brain, liver, kidneys, stomach, and muscles - even the heart muscle itself. At the same time, your veins carry blood from the tissues back toward the pumping chambers of the heart. From there, blood passes to your lungs to receive more oxygen. The cycle repeats when oxygen-rich blood returns to the heart.
