The Consolidated Law on forests and forestry chains (Legislative Decree 34/2018) draws new balances in the management of the national forest heritage, introducing principles and rules that are instrumental in enhancing its intrinsic multifunctionality. To achieve this goal, space is given to the concept of sustainable forest management, to which silviculture is called upon to make a fundamental contribution. The study investigates how a sector discipline, oriented to organically arranging multiple interests, public and private, which gravitate around the forest, can be instrumental in supporting silviculture and its productions, bearing in mind that this has always been included in the between the activities of the agricultural enterprise. |
