Accueillir n’est pas inné : cela s’apprend, s’organise et se manage. Notion pivot des bibliothèques, la fonction accueil est souvent réduite aux transactions de documents ou fondue dans le terme de médiation. L’ambition de ce volume est de renouveler l’approche de l’accueil en proposant un projet de professionnalisation de l’accueil, porté collectivement, au service des publics. Conseils, démarche utilisateur, certification, intelligence collective, hospitalité, usure... comment impulser une dynamique d’accueil au sein des équipes ? Comment développer les compétences relationnelles des bibliothécaires ? Comment accompagner les équipes dans des missions où les compétences techniques passent désormais au second plan ? À travers les récits de nombreuses initiatives, au sein de bibliothèques universitaires comme de la lecture publique, cet ouvrage explore les multiples moyens d’investir l’accueil de façon constructive. Il plaide en faveur d’une « symétrie des attentions » : professionnaliser l’accueil a autant de répercussions positives sur le bibliothécaire qu’il en présente pour l’utilisateur du service. Coordonné par Héloïse Courty, conservatrice des bibliothèques, consultante et formatrice spécialisée dans la qualité d’accueil, ce volume réunit une quinzaine d’auteur·e·s, dont une chercheuse, un cadre de l’Assurance maladie, une cadre pédagogique, une psycho-sociologue du travail, un ancien libraire, un consultant, des bibliothécaires, qui partagent leur expérience de terrain et leurs conseils méthodologiques. |
