|
The thematic section of this issue of JRFM deals with apocalyptic imaginings in literature and film. The articles address issues such as authority, authenticity, belief, imagining social futures, and art as social laboratory. Throughout, the authors employ the lens of "the apocalyptic" to demonstrate how media can address broader socio-political and psychological issues. They can serve as a kind of social barometer to help us identify contemporary angst, anxieties, hopes, and dreams. Doing so, the authors highlight that "the apocalyptic" serves as useful analytical tool that allows us to learn something about society that might otherwise remain hidden. As such, they go back to the Greek origins of the word and show that "apocalyptic work" is the work of revealing and unveiling - both for artists and creators of media texts and for academics as scholars of contemporary culture. |

|
An der Erforschung und Erprobung der mediengestützten Lern- und Arbeitsszenarien in Wissenschaft und Hochschule sind Expertinnen und Experten aus unterschiedlichsten Domänen beteiligt. Damit steht die Aktivität der Gesellschaft für Medien in der Wissenschaft (GMW) unter dem Zeichen der Interdisziplinarität. Bereits etabliert sind Fächerkombinationen wie die Mediendidaktik oder die Medieninformatik. Im wissenschaftlichen Alltag entstehen jedoch deutlich mehr interdisziplinäre Schnittstellen, deren Erörterung und Untersuchung das Thema der GMW-Tagung 2015 sind. Die Tagungsbeiträge finden sich in den Themenbereichen Digitale Medien und Interdisziplinarität, Open Educational Resources, Geschäftsmodelle sowie Gestaltung und Praxis wieder. Die GMW 2015 will den Diskurs zur Nutzung digitaler Medien in interdisziplinären Settings durch wissenschaftlich und praktisch fundierte Studien bereichern und konsolidieren. |
Die Präsentationen reichen von Blended Learning in der Lehrerbildung bis hin zur Entwicklung eines Serious Games für den Bereich offener Organisationen. Insgesamt bietet das Herausgeberwerk damit eine äußerst umfassende Sammlung von Beiträgen, die thematisch wie auch konzeptionell sehr ausdifferenziert ist. Somit eignet sich Digitale Medien und Interdisziplinarität vor allem für Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler unterschiedlicher Fachrichtungen, die im Bereich von E-Learning tätig sind. – Aus: merz | medien + erziehung, 1/2016 |
