Ist seine scharfe Auseinandersetzung mit James Frazers anthropologischem Hauptwerk, The Golden Bough. A Study in Magic and Religion, eine frühe Einübung in diese "ethnologische Betrachtungsweise"? Sprache und Kultur geht dieser Frage nach.
