Was macht das Bild von Muslim_innen als rückständige und bedrohliche Andere so anschlussfähig? Welche gesellschaftlichen Widersprüche und Konflikte werden in antimuslimischen Diskursen verarbeitet? Benjamin Opratko untersucht das scheinbare Paradox eines Rassismus, der im Namen der Emanzipation artikuliert wird.Seine hegemonietheoretische Analyse zeigt: Der antimuslimische Rassismus übersetzt die Unsicherheit darüber, ob die Emanzipationskämpfe nach 1968 tatsächlich gewonnen wurden, in die Vorstellung, dass Muslim_innen das Errungene bedrohen. In diesem Mythos repräsentieren muslimische Andere eine überwunden geglaubte Vergangenheit. Ihre Abwertung im Namen der Emanzipation entpuppt sich als historizistischer Rassismus. |
