|
Le propos de cet ouvrage est de rendre compte de manière didactique et synthétique des principales théories qui tentent de définir et de conceptualiser les émotions. L'auteur présente successivement : (a) les théories centrées sur les aspects physiologiques périphériques et centraux des émotions, (b) les théories qui ont étudié le rôle et la fonction des processus cognitifs dans l'élaboration de l'émotion - c'est-à-dire principalement les théories de l'évaluation et les théories schématiques, (c) les théories directement issues de la perspective de Darwin - plus particulièrement la notion d'émotions fondamentales et l'expression émotionnelle, et enfin (d) le point de vue du constructivisme social d'Averill, dont la particularité est de considérer l'émotion comme une "construction sociale". Il s'agit là d'un véritable outil de travail auquel le lecteur débutant dans le domaine pourra se référer afin d'acquérir les bases de connaissances théoriques liées aux émotions. Une liste détaillée de références bibliographiques complète ce document. |
