Le Périple attribué à Skylax de Karyanda est une description des côtes de la Méditerranée et de la mer Noire, rédigé à Athènes à la veille des conquêtes d'Alexandre. Il rassemble des données importantes pour l'historien, l'archéologue et l'épistomologue. Il n'a pas été réédité en France depuis les Geographica Graeca Minores (GGM) de K. Millier en 1855. Ce livre édite la partie pontique du Périple, souvent considérée comme la plus ancienne, accompagné d'un commentaire philologique, historique et archéologique, destiné à donner aux spécialistes ou aux chercheurs un accès plus aisé à ce texte difficile mais fondamental. The Periplous attributed to Skylax of Caryanda contains a geographical description of the Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts.
