• Sommario/riassunto: The purpose of this book is to develop the stable trace formula for unitary groups in three variables. The stable trace formula is then applied to obtain a classification of automorphic representations. This work represents the first case in which the stable trace formula has been worked out beyond the case of SL (2) and related groups. Many phenomena which will appear in the general case present themselves already for these unitary groups.

• Sommario/riassunto: Le poète-traducteur, pour qui la traduction de textes en langue étrangère constitue une partie intégrale de sa propre œuvre, est un acteur central, mais peu étudié, de l’histoire littéraire. De manière exemplaire, son travail permet d’analyser le rôle des traductions dans l’histoire, ainsi que l’importance des figures de l’altérité pour le développement de l’identité culturelle. Tout en examinant deux volets passionnants de la réception européenne de l’œuvre de Shakespeare et en apportant, donc, des éléments à l’histoire mondiale d’une œuvre dépassant depuis longtemps les frontières d’un seul pays ou d’une seule langue, le livre de Matthias Zach présente une comparaison systématique de deux poètes-traducteurs particulièrement importants. La comparaison fait ressortir le style traductif de chaque poète, examine les conceptions respectives de la traduction et démontre l’imbrication de la traduction et de l'œuvre poétique. Les analyses concernent aussi bien les poèmes que l’œuvre dramatique de Shakespeare. Les traductions de Shakespeare par Yves Bonnefoy et Paul ; Celan permettent non seulement de mieux comprendre les poétiques de deux grands écrivains des XXe et XXIe siècles, mais également d’élaborer des instruments adaptés à l’analyse de la figure du poète-traducteur dans son rôle de médiateur culturel.
