« Le Colloque pluridisciplinaire et international, " l’Esclavage de l’Africain en Amérique du 16e au 19e siècle : les Héritages " a été organisé par l’Association Dodine les 19, 20 et 21 avril 2011 à Fort-de-France. Ce n’était pas, comme d’aucuns pouvaient d’emblée le penser, un colloque de plus eu égard aux multiples rencontres antérieures relatives à l’Esclavage vu du continent européen. La visée ici était tout autre. L’objet assigné se voulait différent, novateur : un colloque axé sur « Les Héritages », à savoir, « les créations des peuples nègres issus des abolitions de l’esclavage au 19e siècle en Amérique. » D’où la définition et la délimitation d’un champ d’interrogations et d’investigations ouvert sur les domaines de l’activité humaine. La manifestation, labellisée « 2011 Année des Outre-Mer Français » a vu ses travaux se dérouler dans d’excellentes conditions. La trentaine de communications fut déclinée en six sessions de demi-journées, animées par des modérateurs avertis. Elles reçurent un écho très favorable d’un public attentif, curieux, de plus en plus nombreux et motivé dans l’échange. En relation avec le colloque, le Vernissage de l’exposition « Prismes d’Artistes ». à l’initiative des Artistes Peintres de l’Association Martiniquaise PABE (Plastik Art Band Experimental) ». E.A « Quel grand honneur que celui d’avoir participé à ce colloque de très haut niveau et de penser qu’il est une graine qui va fertiliser de futurs projets entre nous tous ! » E.T « Je ne connais pas une seule personne qui n¹ait parlé de sa satisfaction totale à la fin de la conférence. » M.B |
