L'époque contemporaine connaît une expansion générale de l'offre scolaire, effet de politiques éducatives relativement ambitieuses. Toutefois, la mise en place d'appareils spécifiques ne débouche pas sur une scolarisation effective de la jeunesse. Seule une approche comparée des diverses réalités locales, telle celle qui est tentée ici, peut espérer rendre compte des modalités concrètes d'application du modèle commun. La diversité des sources et des méthodes utilisées, propre à un colloque ouvert, a montré la richesse du thème, déjà abordé dans une publication antérieure, et que nous voudrions présenter, en essayant de tenir compte des fructueuses discussions qui ont prolongé les communications. La quarantaine de communications débattues (28 pour l'Espagne, 10 pour l'Amérique Latine) permet en effet d'approcher l'essentiel des questions qui se posent à l'histoire de l'Éducation à l'époque contemporaine. |
