Cette publication trouve son origine dans le séminaire « L’offre de livres numériques à destination des bibliothèques de lecture publique : un regard international » qui a été organisé entre mai 2014 et mars 2015 par l’Enssib (Hans Dillaerts et Benoît Epron), l’ARALD (Antoine Fauchié) et les laboratoires DICEN-CNAM (Ghislaine Chartron) et ELICO (Lyon) ; il a bénéficié du soutien de l’ARC 5 et de la Région Rhône-Alpes. Le séminaire ayant reçu de nombreux retours positifs de la part des professionnels de la chaîne du livre et des chercheurs travaillant sur le livre numérique, les organisateurs ont souhaité rassembler les textes afin de capitaliser sur les retours d’expériences et les savoirs construits. L’ouvrage s’attache ainsi à analyser et identifier les différents modèles qui sont mis en œuvre pour développer des services de prêt public du livre numérique. Une approche de comparaison internationale est privilégiée pour appréhender l’ensemble des enjeux liés au développement du prêt numérique et de la lecture numérique sous l’angle technico-économique, politique, juridique, professionnel et des usages. Les contributions correspondent aux interventions et aux transcriptions réalisées à l’issue des séances du séminaire, ainsi qu’à des articles extérieurs afin d’enrichir l’analyse. |
