The Arts and Emergent Bilingual Youth offers a critical sociopolitical perspective on working with emerging bilingual youth at the intersection of the arts and language learning. Utilizing research from both arts and language education to explore the ways they work in tandem to contribute to emergent bilingual students' language and academic development, the book analyzes model arts projects to raise questions about "best practices" for and with marginalized bilingual young people, in terms of relevance to their languages, cultures, and communities as they envision better worlds. |

Madeleine Bejart s'eteint en laissant a son amoureux, l'illustre dramaturge Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, dit Moliere, une serie de feuillets ecrits a son intention ou elle raconte avec nostalgie des episodes marquants de leur existence. D'aventures en rebondissements, celle qui a t la compagne du plus grand auteur et acteur du royaume de France lui fait le rcit de ses premires amours, voque sa passion pour la scne et le surprend en lui confiant un secret de famille. Madeleine lui remmore ses amitis, notamment celles avec Cyrano de Bergerac et Pierre Corneille. Elle relate sa mission pour la reine Anne d'Autriche et lui rvle les menaces d'un admirateur fanatique, dont elle a russi lui dissimuler les sombres agissements durant des annes. L'inquitant personnage l'aurait poursuivie travers tout le pays, alors aux prises avec la rvolte de la Fronde, jusqu' Paris, o la troupe de Molire a commenc son ascension sous la protection du Roi-Soleil, Louis XIV.
