Sommario/riassunto

This book provides a practical guide to a novel framework combining three diverse traditions within the field of discourse studies: Poststructuralist Discourse Theory, Critical Discourse Studies and Corpus Linguistics. By first covering a philosophical and conceptual overview to illustrate their compatibility, followed by detailed steps for applying them analytically within research projects, it offers an accessible framework for researchers and students interested in mixed-methods approaches to discourse analysis. The way that the book introduces both the core components of each tradition and a comprehensive framework for their amalgamation means that it will strongly interest both newcomers to the field and more experienced discourse analysts. The piece aims to act as a stimulus for greater dialogue between the traditions and to encourage further development of this unique combination of methodologies. Katy Brown (she/her) is a Research Fellow in Language and Social Justice at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Prior to joining MMU, Katy completed her PhD on far-right mainstreaming at the University of Bath, UK, before securing an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship at Maynooth University, Ireland.
