Merrill's Marauders is a detailed account of the operations of the 5307th Composite Unit (Provisional) in northern Burma during World War II, from February to May 1944. Led by Brig. Gen. Frank D. Merrill, this unit, known as Merrill's Marauders, was part of a larger Allied effort to reclaim northern Burma and facilitate the construction of the Ledo Road. The book describes their challenging missions through dense jungles and mountainous terrain, where they engaged and defeated Japanese forces, ultimately capturing the Myitkyina airfield.
