This atlas reviews the spectrum of pathologies affecting the structures of the cardiovascular (CV) system most frequently encountered in sudden cardiac deaths, and has been conceived as a first step for making CV pathology diagnoses. It is almost impossible to establish an accurate diagnosis based only on morphology, and therefore this atlas is to assemble knowledge and points of view from two medical specialties, cardiology and forensic pathology. Gegenstand des Kolloquiums, das im Sommer 1998 von der Internationalen Arnim-Gesellschaft veranstaltet wurde, waren Leben und Werk Arnims von der Schulzeit über das Studium bis zu den Reisejahren. Die reiche Vielfalt der Gedankenwelt und literarischen Produktion des jungen Arnim, die ungewöhnliche Breite seiner Bildung wurden detailliert und in Zusammenhängen einsichtig: vor allem durch die Erschließung bisher unbekannter Quellen und die Vereinigung von biographisch-literarischen mit philosophisch-naturwissenschaftlichen Fragestellungen. |
The topics of the colloquium of the International Arnim Society in the summer of 1998 were Arnim's biography, his literary and scientific writings from his childhood and student years up to the time of his travels abroad. The complexity of his intellectual life, his extensive literary production, and the breadth of his education were examined, and interconnections among various aspects of his career were revealed, especially through previously unpublished manuscripts documenting the intersection of biographical, literary, philosophical and scientific concerns. |
