The Life of Nuzzels: Nuzzels the Nosey Skunk follows a young skunk with a real nose for adventure. Nuzzels goes against his mother's wishes, as well as the advice of his siblings, when he leaves the safety of home to set off into the forest. The skunk meets many woodland creatures during his wild adventure and winds up getting lost. Nuzzels finds himself in great danger and desperately needs help! He finds the help he needs when he makes a new friend, a buzzard named Pie in the Sky. Nuzzels also meets a deer named Tim Buck and Piefer, a beaver who befriends Nuzzels and introduces him to some aquatic animals. This charming children's book teaches important lessons in friendship and danger, and also gives reasons to listen to your mother! The story's educational value comes through the parts about the strengths and abilities of different animals. Finis Jones has been a storyteller all his life.
