This new edition of 'Physical Hydrodynamics' is a much enriched version of a classical textbook of fluid dynamics published more than 10 years ago by the same authors. It retains the same physically oriented pedagogical perspective based on their teaching of university students in physical and engineering sciences. This book emphasises, as in the first edition, experimental inductive approaches and relies on the study of the mechanisms at play and on dimensional analysis rather than more formal approaches found in many classical textbooks in the field. |
