• Sommario/riassunto: This is a story of an eighty year old man having difficulty recovering from the death of his wife. He is asked by a nineteen year old runaway for help to get off the streets. He is reluctant to get involved. He does help her and is brought out of his depression when the two take a trip to New Orleans. The psychopath who tried to molest the girl refuses to leave her alone and seeks revenge. The old man finds himself as the guardian of the young lady and wrestles with the idea that he might have to use a weapon to keep themselves safe. He sees that if he had to, he would be forced to kill the psychopath. The story ends with the crazy man being unwilling to give up and forcing the old man to defend himself and the young lady. This is a sensitive story of Platonic love between an old man and young girl.
