This book gathers the research work that was carried out within the framework of the PROPOMAC Project, an important development cooperation experience, financed by the FIP (Peruvian Italo Fund), and executed by Cáritas del Perú, as Executing Unit, by the MNS (National Museum of Sicán), responsible for archaeological aspects, and for UNIMI (University of Milan), as a scientific supervisor. The project has promoted the area of the Historic Sanctuary of the Pomac Forest in a novel way. On the one hand, archaeological activity has been promoted, thanks to new excavations in Huaca Lercanlech and a more general reflection on the Lambayeque culture. On the other hand, the territory has been valued by promoting the promotion of various activities, involving the residents of the community that lives in the area. |
