Τα συμμετοχικά παιχνίδια που διερευνώνται σε αυτό το βιβλίο έχουν ως στόχο να καθοδηγήσουν την λήψη ηθικών αποφάσεων. Το βιβλίο τιτλοφορείται Ηθικά Παιχνίδια για την Διδασκαλία της Βιοηθικής, αλλά τα παιχνίδια μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν για πολλά θέματα και να προσαρμοστούν ώστε να κάνουν τη μάθηση ευχάριστη για όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους. Η ιδέα της χρήσης ηθικών παιχνιδιών συνδέεται με κινήματα όπως η μαθητοκεντρική μάθηση, η συμμετοχική μάθηση και η δράση. Υπάρχει ένας αριθμός προσεγγίσεων, εργαλείων, στάσεων και συμπεριφορών που επιτρέπουν στους ανθρώπους να παρουσιάζουν, να μοιράζονται, να αναλύουν και να εμπλουτίζουν τις γνώσεις τους.
