L’histoire de la fuite et des expulsions, entre 1944 et 1950, d’environ 12 à 14 millions d’Allemands vivant dans les territoires de l’Est, a constitué un élément majeur de la question allemande jusqu’à la fin de la Guerre froide et l’unification allemande. Depuis une quinzaine d’années, dans un contexte géopolitique différent, ces événements animent de nouveau des débats dans l’espace public en Allemagne, mais également en Pologne et en République tchèque. Ce livre est le premier en France à regrouper des contributions de spécialistes internationaux. Il interroge la représentation de cette thématique dans les médias et les musées, dans la littérature ainsi que dans les débats mémoriels, tout en se basant sur des analyses historiographiques éclairant les enjeux d’un tel retour sur ce passé. En choisissant une perspective transnationale, inscrivant ces événements dans l’histoire européenne des déplacements forcés, le livre propose aussi une réflexion sur la construction d’une mémoire européenne commune. The story of flight and expulsions of 12 to 14 millions of Germans living in the eastern territories, between 1944 and 1950, constitutes a major event of the German Issue until the end of the Cold War and the German unification. |
