Raymond Saleilles is considered as one of the maximum representatives of the French anti-formalist School, as one of the teachers who react to the end of the 19th century against legal Absolutism. The author also presents himself as a Catholic involved in the social problems of the time, but he highlights in the scientific literature after 1912 and Saleilles' role as one of the creators of the modern comparative approach.
