The collapse of the Iron Curtain, the renationalization of eastern Europe, and the simultaneous eastward expansion of the European Union have all impacted the way the past is remembered in today's eastern Europe. ou des choses comme cela… Question : C’est cela que vous tentez de faire ? approcher de l’invisible… Réponse : Ce qu’on fait naturellement, ce que font beaucoup d’écrivains à leur manière. Quand j’étais adolescent, l’un des premiers livres qui m’avaient touché, c’est un livre de Maurice Blanchot… je ne connaissais rien à la philosophie et à toute cette école… c’était un livre qui s’appelait Thomas l’Obscur… voilà c’est Thomas l’Obscur… » Le 28 janvier 1942, à la sortie de Thomas l’Obscur, Thierry Maulnier faisait le commentaire suivant dans sa chronique littéraire : « Le premier roman de M. Maurice Blanchot constitue à n’en pas douter une des expériences les plus subtiles et les plus audacieuses qui aient été faites depuis longtemps pour faire dire aux mots plus ou autre chose que ce qu’ils ont coutume de dire dans leur emploi habituel. » Deux témoignages différents mais la même intuition sur un auteur à part qui a marqué toute une génération d’écrivains. L’intention de cet ouvrage collectif sur les romans et récits de Maurice Blanchot est justement de creuser cet informulé dans le connu du mot, autrement dit la manière dont l’écriture de Blanchot pose la question de l’invention du langage à travers l’acte de nomination : comprendre le combat que livre Thomas avec, pour ou contre le mot. |
