orn in 1926 in Chicago, Hilary Putnam is one of the great figures of contemporary philosophy, whose diverse work crosses the philosophy of mathematics, science, spirit and language, but also ethics and metaphysics . Critic of logical empiricism, never ceasing to assert its internal realism, Putnam gradually came closer to pragmatism, which in his eyes constitutes the best parade, theoretical and practical, to relativism.It is this itinerary that we retrace here.
