L'auteur se pose la question des fondements historiques du nationalisme et du sentiment national. Examinant le cas français et le cas allemand, l'auteur en vient à débattre des composantes idéologiques et des contextes historiques liés à l'émergence des États-nations en insistant sur la critique de la notion d'individualisme et sur l'importance des racines historiques du processus de cette émergence, particulièrement en France et en Angleterre. |
The author investigates the historical foundations of nationalism and national sentiment. On the basis of the French and German experience, the author discusses the ideological components and historical contexts linked to the emergence of nation states, with insistence on the critique of the idea of individualism and on the importance of the historical roots of the process of this emergence, especially in France and England. |
