Le premier volume des Matériaux pour l'étude de la toponymie et de la topographie (MTT) représente un des résultats de la coopération franco-allemande concernant la géographie historique de la Haute-Mésopotamie au IIe millénaire avant notre ère. Les trois tomes livrent les données archéologiques et textuelles en préalable à l’étude de l'histoire politique et sociale de la région. Ces trois volumes sont également disponibles en version papier publiée par la Sépoa. Le présent volume MTT I/2 est un outil de référence actualisé concernant plus de 400 toponymes attestés par des textes médio-assyriens qu’ils soient édités ou inédits. Il se concentre ainsi sur l’ouest de l’Empire médio-assyrien, le cœur de son habitat et de sa politique expansionniste à l’âge du Bronze récent. Der erste Band der Reihe Materialien zu Toponymie und Topographie (MTT) präsentiert Forschungsergebnisse der französisch-deutschen Kooperation zur Historischen Geographie Obermesopotamiens im 2. Jt. v.Chr. Die drei Teilbände versammeln Basisdaten zu Textquellen und archäologischen Befunden als Grundlage für Forschungen zur soziopolitischen Geschichte der Region. Eine Papierversion der drei Bände ist vom Verlag SEPOA herausgegeben worden und kann direkt dort bestellt werden. Der vorliegende Teilband MTT I/2 bildet ein aktuelles Nachschlagewerk zu ca. 400 Toponymen aus veröffentlichten und unveröffentlichten mittelassyrischen Texten. Der Fokus liegt auf dem Westen des mittelassyrischen Reiches, einem Kerngebiet der assyrischen Siedlung und Expansion in der Spätbronzezeit. The first volume of Materials on toponymy and topography (MTT) presents results of the French-German collaboration on the historical geography of Upper Mesopotamia in the 2nd millennium BCE. The three parts present archeological and textual data which provide a basis for a global approach to the socio-political history of the region.
