Depuis une quinzaine d'années en France, un nouveau mode d'action humanitaire est apparu. En quoi ce type d'engagement vient-il renouveler le militantisme ancien où ce sont les plus proches qui sont aidés ? L'enquête, qui porte sur une centaine d'entretiens et l'observation de réunions, restitue les paradoxes et les dilemmes que rencontrent ces militants, toutes ces épreuves parfois inattendues et toujours à surmonter pour pouvoir continuer à pratiquer l'« humanité » et l'altruisme auxquels ils croient. |
