They want to found the real omnipotence of the Executive, shielded by the apparent omnipotence of the congress, start by abolishing the Constitution virtually, closing the courts. It is better to finish them off than to dishonour them, turning them into rabbits of irresponsible power. If arms are not inclined towards justice, unless justice is not the courtesan of arms. They do not need it, and by dispensing with their services, they would at least spare the last of the moral degradations to a people resigned to annihilation. |
