|
Dans l’analyse du monde du travail, des conflits ou des incivilités, la notion de reconnaissance est désormais largement employée. L’identification d’un besoin, insatisfait, de reconnaissance nourrit ainsi une réflexion sur l’expérience du déni de reconnaissance et sur les attentes symboliques des personnes. Cependant, cette réflexion a généralement été menée à partir d’une seule perspective, celle du partenaire qui demande à être reconnu, et oppose deux états fixes, « être non reconnu » et « être reconnu ». Cet ouvrage s’attache au contraire à la perspective symétrique, celle de la personne appelée à reconnaître autrui, en analysant le processus qui sous-tend le fait de reconnaître autrui. Pour cela, il se fonde sur le cas où la personne appelée à être reconnue a un handicap intellectuel – cas qui rend saillants les mécanismes et enjeux de la reconnaissance. Adoptant une approche interdisciplinaire qui croise philosophie et sciences sociales, il s’adresse aussi aux acteurs qui sont confrontés à une demande de reconnaissance et en quelque sorte soumis à l’injonction d’y donner suite : cadres, parents, enseignants, soignants. Reconnaître autrui, oui, mais dans quelles circonstances, comment, pourquoi, et jusqu’où ? C’est à ces questions que cet ouvrage tente d’apporter des réponses. |
