Hauptbeschreibung Das Buch befasst sich mit den Traumatisierungserfahrungen in der Kindheit und deren Auswirkungen auf das gesamte Leben. Die zugrunde liegende These ist, dass Traumatisierungen das gesamte Leben beeinflussen. Zunächst wird an einem Beispiel deutlich zu welch gravierenden, negativen Folgen in der Entwicklung eine frühzeitige Traumatisierung führen kann. Anschließend werden die hirnorganischen Vorgänge erläutert, die während eines Traumas ablaufen und welche Muster dabei im Gehirn entstehen.
